Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier! Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
If you need to make any changes to your order after it has been placed please contact us by email and we can make any necessary changes for you. Payments can be made via processing agents Paypal or by bank transfer.  If you'd like to pay by BACS please contact us with your order details and we will send an invoice and bank details for payment.

Delivery
All items are engraved and packed to order by hand - I usually dispatch orders in three to five working days depending on my workload, however I can often process orders sooner than this so if your order is required urgently please contact me and I will do my best to help. At very busy times of year lead times may be extended  to up to 10 working days so if your order is date critical please do let us know as soon as possible.

Our product prices include free delivery to UK addresses. This will usually be via Royal Mail Second Class post. We offer a range of expedited shipping options in our checkout if your order is needed sooner - all shipping speeds are quoted from dispatch date not order date so please do check with me first if your order is needed urgently.

Overseas Orders

We are happy to ship overseas  - orders to the USA can be placed via this website.  Orders to Europe should be placed via our Etsy store to ensure correct handling of import/export charges - you can find our Etsy store here https://www.etsy.com/shop/EngravedGlassDirect?ref=dashboard-header

If you wish to order for delivery to a country not currently shown on our website or Etsy store please contact us by email sales@greatbritishglass.co.uk.

Returns
Change of mind returns are accepted in accordance with UK law.  If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind about your purchase please contact us within 14 days of delivery. The goods must be returned to us in the original packaging and original saleable condition within 14 days of notification.  The cost of these returns is paid by the customer.  Refunds will be processed with 14 days of receipt of returned items by us, assuming that they have been received in original  condition.

Returns for breakage or damage in transit

In the unlikely event that an item is damaged in transit to our customers please contact us by email in the first instance.  We will require evidence for our claims process of damages and so may ask for photographs or for the goods to be returned to us for inspection so that we can process your replacements.  In the event that we require return of a broken item this should be packed in the original packaging and returned using a prepaid postage label which will be provided by us.  We will issue a refund or replacement as agreed with you on a case by case basis.
Most of the glass and crystal that we work with is handmade and may contain some small bubbles which are part of the hand made process with glassware and crystal.
We do not accept returns for small bubbles or minor flaws that are part of the manufacturing process of the glassware as we do check all glass and crystal very carefully before dispatch.,

Items which have been personalised for any customer are not eligible for return unless we have made a mistake in the personalisation.  Breakage in transit of a personalised item will be treated as stated in the returns policy above.

Breakages

We pack all glassware very carefully  for shipping and have been successfully shipping glassware across the world for many years.  In the very unlikely event that your order is damaged in transit we will usually offer a replacement in the first instance.  All damages should be notified within 3 days of delivery.

We may ask for photographs that can be used in an insurance claim with our chosen partner carriers.

Photographs should show damage to the glass itself, as well as any damage to packaging (individual boxes and shipping cartons). 

We may ask you to package items for return as sometimes this is required by our couriers as evidence of the damage in transit before they will consider a claim for damage.

Please do not dispose of any items until we have confirmed whether we will require these to be returned.  

Data & Privacy Policy
Great British Glass does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site where they are strictly necessary for the site functionality. They are used to aid navigation, and to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. If you log in to an account, your logged-in status is recorded in a temporary cookie. If you select the 'Remember Me' Option in the checkout, a cookie will be used to remember your details. You can turn off cookies by blocking them in your browser Privacy settings. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use them.

Data collected by this site is used to:
